If you get this error, the first thing you should do is consider the fact that you’ve created a symlink for a file/directory that’s referring back to the original link. Unfortunately it is very easy to do this from the shell. You simply have to do a little bit of tracking to figure out the issue. Of course if you know the offending symlink, then simply correct it.
