…well that didn’t take long comcast should really give up…

I decided to buy a Nismo catback for my 350z. I’m definitely happy with the decision since the car sounds much beefier! I took some pictures of the parts before the install just for fun.  I won’t go into the dirty details of how the install is done since this is a bolt-on intsall.

Muffler: Nismo on left, Original on right. Resonator Pipe: Nismo on bottom, Original on top. Y Pipe: Original on right, Nismo on left. Y Pipe, see the diameter difference?!

Hi! Just how much is much beefier? It has been hard for me to decide on what system just for that reason. You can’t just go somewhere and hear them before you buy them. Also is there a difference in performance? i just bought my Z, 2007, this is my first sports car. Can you tell me how hard it was to install. Anything really will help, Thank You, have a good night…

Install is very easy since everything is bolt on. The sound is noticeable from a block away but not as loud as the other cat backs.

You won’t notice a great performance difference though changing the exhaust eliminates one of the chock points in the car.

    Hi,
I am looking at buying just the Nismo muffler but my question is: Will it be bolt straight onto the factory mid-pipe? Do you know if the diameter is different?

    I’d appreciate for your answer!

You’re going to buy just the muffler, not the entire kit? I sure hope not because that would be a good waste of time. Save your money and buy the entire kit or buy the cheaper alternative (e.g. Borla).

To answer your question, the dimensions on the bolt joints are going to be different, so you’ll end up with leaks, etc. Simply put, you’ll end with an Exhaust Frankenstein…
